Social housing - selling the dream
In the current climate, more and more social landlords are struggling with the levels of repayment on their properties as tenants take charge of their own benefit payments, and thence rent. Some landlords who have identified sites for social rented property suddenly see the sense in realising that as hard cash, either through shared or outright ownership, and re-plan the quality and finish of the property accordingly. It has been our job to imagine these homes once they are built, and extoll the virtues of the local history, amenities, road and rail links, social benefits and beauty of the outlying area, the majority of which we've worked on have been near the south coast - all this usually just from a scheme name and a postcode. We have (virtually) walked many a mile on Streetview!
